Introduction:
The
Kingdom of God is the best thing to happen to any man…it is God’s governing
power and authority in and through your life. Everything in life will answer to
you if the Kingdom of God is established in your life.
The
Kingdom of God is essential to man’s fulfillment and success in life. there is
no person who can really be successful and fulfilled without the Kingdom of God
working in him or her…that means every person requires the Kingdom of God in
order to become successful and fulfilled in life. it is only by understanding
and applying the principles of the Kingdom of God that we can fulfill our
purposes in life…purpose is the most important thing on earth – it is the key
to a life of success and fulfillment.
NB: if we must succeed and be free from
life of failure and defeat, sickness and disease, fear and insecurity, lack and
poverty, and destruction and death; we must understand the nature of the
Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God at work in a man’s life is what makes him do
the impossible…
for
example:

whole earth.

Moses
a stammerer and murderer confronted the king of Egypt, divided the red sea and
led his people into freedom.
Joshua
conquered Jericho, crossed over Jordan to bring God’s people into their Land of
Promised.
Daniel
survived the lion’s den and his three friends the furnace of fire and became
government officials in Babylon.
Esther
an orphan girl became a queen in a foreign land
David
a shepherd boy became the greatest king of Israel.
Gideon
a fearful man conquered a whole nation with only 300 soldiers.
these
and many others were made possible because these men and women choose to live
their lives by the principles of the kingdom of God.
Why Is the Kingdom of
God So Important?
there
is nothing more important to God than his kingdom. there is nothing more important
to Jesus than the Kingdom of His Father. There was nothing more important to
the early disciples than the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is the greatest
message ever preached and it is the last message to be preached before the end
comes.
ten major reasons why
the Kingdom of God is so important?
1.
The ultimate purpose and plan of God for mankind is a kingdom assignment…God
created us in order to advance and establish His Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
Gen. 1: 26; Ex. 19: 5-6; 1 Pet. 2: 9
2.
The original purpose of God is to extend His Rulership from Heaven to earth
through man. Matt. 6: 10
3.
What mankind lost through Adam was a Kingdom Government of God.
4.
The greatest search of every human heart is not a religion, but a kingdom under
God’s government.
5.
The central theme of Jesus’ message was the gospel of the Kingdom of God, not a
religious message. Luke 4: 43
6.
The entire life and ministry of Jesus was the demonstration of power and glory
of the Kingdom of God – the healings, deliverances, miracles, signs and
wonders.
7.
The only message Jesus commanded His church to preach is the Kingdom of God.
Matt. 24: 14; 28: 19-20
8.
The Kingdom of God is the central theme of the entire bible.
9.
The conclusion of God’s eternal program of restoration is the establishment of
his eternal kingdom on earth.
10.
The greatest desire of God is for all men to become the citizens of His
Heavenly Kingdom on earth now. Luke 12: 31-32.
conclusion:
The
kingdom of god is a foundational concept of Christianity because it is the
central theme of Jesus’ message…it is the heart of his message to mankind.
There was nothing more central and life consuming for Jesus than the message of
the kingdom. We must know that, things like healings, deliverance, prosperity, miracles,
signs and wonders, casting out demons were all the integral parts of his
kingdom message – Jesus never preached them as a message. To Jesus, the kingdom
message is a matter of highest priority above social, marital, financial,
paternal obligations…Jesus pattern in ministry reveals this one thing “the Kingdom
of God” (Matt. 24: 14; Matt. 4: 17; 6: 9-10: Luke 12: 31-32; Matt. 6: 31-33) To
Jesus, the kingdom message is a matter of highest priority above any social or
paternal obligation.
Jesus
Christ came to earth not as a religious man but as an ambassador speaking on
behalf of his father’s government of heaven. the message of the kingdom of god
is a message about a country – deep in the heart of every human being there is
a search for a better country with a better government that can guarantee the
safety of the citizens…human governments cannot guaranteed the safety of human
life here on earth.
