WHY IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD SO IMPORTANT?

Introduction:
The Kingdom of God is the best thing to happen to any man…it is God’s governing power and authority in and through your life. Everything in life will answer to you if the Kingdom of God is established in your life.

The Kingdom of God is essential to man’s fulfillment and success in life. there is no person who can really be successful and fulfilled without the Kingdom of God working in him or her…that means every person requires the Kingdom of God in order to become successful and fulfilled in life. it is only by understanding and applying the principles of the Kingdom of God that we can fulfill our purposes in life…purpose is the most important thing on earth – it is the key to a life of success and fulfillment.

NB: if we must succeed and be free from life of failure and defeat, sickness and disease, fear and insecurity, lack and poverty, and destruction and death; we must understand the nature of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God at work in a man’s life is what makes him do the impossible…
for example:
Noah built an ark to save his entire family from destruction that came upon the whole earth.
Abraham became the father of nations at his old age when all hope was gone.
Joseph a prisoner became a prime minister in the land of Egypt.
Moses a stammerer and murderer confronted the king of Egypt, divided the red sea and led his people into freedom.
Joshua conquered Jericho, crossed over Jordan to bring God’s people into their Land of Promised.
Daniel survived the lion’s den and his three friends the furnace of fire and became government officials in Babylon.
Esther an orphan girl became a queen in a foreign land
David a shepherd boy became the greatest king of Israel.
Gideon a fearful man conquered a whole nation with only 300 soldiers.
these and many others were made possible because these men and women choose to live their lives by the principles of the kingdom of God.

Why Is the Kingdom of God So Important?
there is nothing more important to God than his kingdom. there is nothing more important to Jesus than the Kingdom of His Father. There was nothing more important to the early disciples than the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is the greatest message ever preached and it is the last message to be preached before the end comes.

ten major reasons why the Kingdom of God is so important?
1. The ultimate purpose and plan of God for mankind is a kingdom assignment…God created us in order to advance and establish His Kingdom of Heaven on earth. Gen. 1: 26; Ex. 19: 5-6; 1 Pet. 2: 9
2. The original purpose of God is to extend His Rulership from Heaven to earth through man. Matt. 6: 10
3. What mankind lost through Adam was a Kingdom Government of God.
4. The greatest search of every human heart is not a religion, but a kingdom under God’s government.
5. The central theme of Jesus’ message was the gospel of the Kingdom of God, not a religious message. Luke 4: 43
6. The entire life and ministry of Jesus was the demonstration of power and glory of the Kingdom of God – the healings, deliverances, miracles, signs and wonders.
7. The only message Jesus commanded His church to preach is the Kingdom of God. Matt. 24: 14; 28: 19-20
8. The Kingdom of God is the central theme of the entire bible.
9. The conclusion of God’s eternal program of restoration is the establishment of his eternal kingdom on earth.
10. The greatest desire of God is for all men to become the citizens of His Heavenly Kingdom on earth now. Luke 12: 31-32.

conclusion:
The kingdom of god is a foundational concept of Christianity because it is the central theme of Jesus’ message…it is the heart of his message to mankind. There was nothing more central and life consuming for Jesus than the message of the kingdom. We must know that, things like healings, deliverance, prosperity, miracles, signs and wonders, casting out demons were all the integral parts of his kingdom message – Jesus never preached them as a message. To Jesus, the kingdom message is a matter of highest priority above social, marital, financial, paternal obligations…Jesus pattern in ministry reveals this one thing “the Kingdom of God” (Matt. 24: 14; Matt. 4: 17; 6: 9-10: Luke 12: 31-32; Matt. 6: 31-33) To Jesus, the kingdom message is a matter of highest priority above any social or paternal obligation.

Jesus Christ came to earth not as a religious man but as an ambassador speaking on behalf of his father’s government of heaven. the message of the kingdom of god is a message about a country – deep in the heart of every human being there is a search for a better country with a better government that can guarantee the safety of the citizens…human governments cannot guaranteed the safety of human life here on earth.

UNDERSTANDING THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE OF JESUS CHRIST

What Jesus Preached? What Was His Original Message to Mankind?
Introduction:
Understanding the Message Jesus preached is very important in helping us understand the ultimate solution to our ultimate problem as mankind. God’s ultimate solution is found within the message that Jesus came to preach. The mission and assignment of Jesus was not to take us to heaven, but to bring heaven into us…in other words, Jesus came to reestablish and restore the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth in our lives.

a careful study of the four gospels of matthew, mark, luke, and john shows that Jesus never preach prosperity as a message but a by-product of the kingdom, he never preached healing as a message but a by-product of the kingdom, he never preached deliverance as a message but a by-product of the kingdom. He spoke about these subjects but as a message, rather as kingdom by-products that means the benefits of embracing the kingdom of God.

The central message of Jesus was a Kingdom message. When Jesus came to earth in human form, He brought with Him His own Kingdom; which is God’s Government; God’s way of doing things. If the Kingdom of God is the ultimate message of Jesus, then it means “the Kingdom of God is the ultimate solution to every problem of man…the Kingdom of God is our ultimate answer to our troubled lives as men.

Isa. 9:6 -  ……and the Government shall be upon His shoulders, ….of the increase of His Government there shall be no end.

Luke 17:20 -   His Kingdom comes not with observation, but with demonstration; tangible evidence of power! Vs. 21 -  The Kingdom of God is within you!

When Jesus came into the earth, everything changed. Jesus brought to earth what Man lost in the Garden of Eden in the fall.  He brought His Kingdom government with Him, meaning King-dominion for Mankind! He went about doing good; destroying all the works of the devil, healing the sick, raising the dead, making the lame to walk and the blind to see because the Kingdom of God was with Him.  Anytime He bumped up against circumstances, situations or things that were out of God’s order, He released His Kingdom’s power and authority by speaking the Word of God, and that Word impacted, affected and changed whatever He targeted.  That is dominion and subduing all things in the earth from Gen. 1:26-28, God’s original purpose and plan for His Man.

Jesus influenced things, circumstances, people, religious thought, and upset all the traditions and religious ideas of His day.  He was able to do this as an Old Covenant Man who believed that God would perform His own Word on behalf of a person who believed the Word of God enough to speak That Word to circumstances and see immediate alteration and change. Jesus always addressed the problem with the Word, which is the power of God unto all deliverance (Ro. 1:16).  Jesus was not sent here to heal sick people or do all the miracles He did.  He was sent to earth to demonstrate in person, how mankind, which is you and me, should be living, thinking, acting and talking.  Then, with delegated power and authority, He sent His disciples out to do the same “works of God” in His Name, and they had the same predictable results!

Under the New Covenant, we now have more than the delegated authority that Jesus gave His disciples before He was crucified and raised again.  We have Jesus’ full power and authority to do the greater works He spoke of in Jn.14:12.

Jesus said in Matt. 28:18 that ALL POWER AND ALL AUTHORITY belongs TO HIM NOW…. So the power we have to go on is all that Jesus has, now.  We are told here to GO in the power He has now.  The Disciples were sent out with delegated power before the cross; a limited power, told only to go to the House of Israel.  We are told to go into all the world and we will be going in All the power and all the authority that now belongs to Jesus as the Risen One, seated at the right hand of the Throne of God!  What we have to go on now is more than enough to manifest very predictable results.

THE LAW OF THE FIRST THING FIRST

UNLOCKING THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN YOU

Part 1: The Law of The First Thing First

What is a law?
Law is a rule made by a government that is used to order the way in which people behaves. Law can also be defined as a governing principle, a key to accepted ways of actions that helps people achieved desired goals in life.

obeying such laws or operating by such governing principles is usually seen as doing right, while the breaking or disobedience of such laws is seen as doing wrong and sometimes attracts certain penalties or punishment. e.g. Adam and Eve. Our obedience to the law brings about freedom, peace, progress, and advancement in our lives, while disobedience brings about captivity, troubled mind, retrogression, and death in our lives as well.

every government or company operates by laws; any government or company without an established laws and principles for the people cannot be successful. The Kingdom of God is no different, just like any other government; there are laws and principles of God’s kingdom government. for example the law of sowing and reaping, or seed time and harvest time – Genesis 8: 22

There is so much to benefit from the government of the kingdom of heaven…such as total security, preservation, protection, guidance, provision, peace, joy and prosperity…these and many more awaits those who will embrace the kingdom living…a life based on the principles and laws of the kingdom of heaven…a higher kind of life. There is something within you that is greater than any problem outside you…it’s called “the kingdom of god.” Luke 17: 21

Most nations, families, people and society are being faced with so many challenges such as insecurity, terrorism, corruption, economic hardships, food shortages, sickness and diseases etc.

Many are getting frustrated, confused, and distressed without knowing where to turn for solution. Everything happening in our nation today is as a result failure on the side of human government…no human government, political party to solve the problem facing us as a nation and as a people. If we are going to find solution, then we need seek for an alternative government…a government can provide security for the people. Only one government is capable of doing that…it is the government of the kingdom of god on earth in the hearts of men.

The bible describes a power available to and within each of us as believers that is greater and powerful than any challenge or difficulty we will face in this life…the kingdom of god is an unchanging, undefeated, and ever stable kingdom in all generations.

You don’t work to get things in a kingdom…the kingdom shifts things to you as you line up your life with the kingdom principles and laws…Matt. 6: 31-33

Most people who don’t know jesus are completely preoccupied with the pursuit of happiness and getting their daily needs met…they are only concerned about what to eat, what to drink, what to put on, where to live, who to marry, how to make enough money to retire…etc

But as kingdom people, we are not suppose to live this way…it is worldly way of life and it does not please the king of our life. In order to please the king, we suppose to make ‘seeking the kingdom of god our primary goal’, then the king will become responsible to provide everything we need including our spiritual, physical, emotional, relational, and financial needs.
To seek the king, his kingdom and his righteousness means…to pattern our lives in line with his principles and laws in every area of our lives.

This is an awesome concept. First of all it drastically simplifies life. We just need to make the main thing the main thing. Jesus understood this principle. Even as a young child, when he was only 12 years old, Jesus recognized that he was supposed to “be about his Father’s business” (Luke 2:49) He knew that seeking the Kingdom was to be his first priority. He knew that as he attended to His Father’s business, His Father would attend to his. Really it’s no different than going to work for a secular company. If you are on company business, the company pays for everything – meals, transportation costs, a place to stay, etc. They also pay you a salary so that you’ll have everything else you need to continue to successfully do your job. So why is it so hard for us to believe that if we make our job “the Father’s Business” that he’ll provide everything we need to get the job done?

Remember, when we make seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness our main focus, God will supernaturally provide for your needs. So, make manifesting his Kingdom your number one priority and find out what it is that he is calling you to do. Then set you heart to obey and finish whatever it is that he asks of you. Recognize that while it won’t always be easy, as long as you continue to be lead by the Spirit and rely on the Lord for the revelation that you need to complete your assignment, you will succeed. There’s no better way to live or stay supernaturally connected to the blessings of God.

THE POWER OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN YOU

UNLOCKING THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN YOU

The power of the kingdom of god in you (Luke 17: 20-21)
How important is god’s kingdom to you? If jesus could not do anything without the kingdom working in him, then you and i can equally do nothing or achieve anything valuable without the kingdom working in us.

The kingdom of god was the central focus and goal in the life of jesus while on earth – everything he did or say is in promoting the interest of the kingdom. Living his entire for the sake of the kingdom gave him the power to subdue and dominate everything around him. Nothing could defeat him even though there was many challenges in your life.

The kingdom of god working in you is god’s ultimate answer to  your total problem in life – that is why jesus instructed you to seek first the king and his kingdom ways of doing things…the kingdom ways are not the same with worldly ways; then every other need will be taken care of as well – matt. 6: 33

The kingdom of god working in you is the very power and glory of god within man that gives man the power to rule on earth…the power to rule and dominate all of god’s creation including money…is to live by the kingdom principles and laws. You cannot rule if the kingdom is not working in your life.

The kingdom of god and your purpose
Living by the kingdom principles and laws is the key to live a successful life…it is the key to fulfill your purpose and destiny. We cannot fulfill our purpose and destiny in life outside the kingdom of god. As fish cannot fulfill its purpose outside water, likewise man cannot fulfill his purpose and destiny without the kingdom of god working in him.

As kingdom citizens our assignment from god is to impact and influence this earth with the principles and laws of the kingdom…in other words, bringing this earth under god’s kingdom authority is every man’s assignment.

Christianity is not just about getting saved, getting healed, getting delivered, and getting all the good things of h=this life…these things are platform given to you by god so that you can fulfill his purpose for your life. Don’t let these things became the focus of your christian faith…rather they are instruments in your hand to fulfill a higher purpose in god: changing your world for the kingdom.

Agent of change (matt. 5: 16)
You are god’s agent of change on this earth…god planted you on this earth to make a difference with your life and resources…anything evil should not prosper through you…you are god’s agent to transform many lives, including your family, your friends, your co-workers, your community, your environment, and your nation as well.
